New Learning Publishing

I love to read and could spend hours getting lost within the pages of a good book.
I homeschool three active sons however, who are less likely to enjoy just sitting down to read. They need a little more activity to stay focused. This is why we enjoyed using the Literature studies from New Learning Publishing. As we read each book, there were questions and fun exercises to keep my boys interested and involved in the storyline. Based on many classics such as Charlotte’s Web, Peter Pan, and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, these studies really dig in to the stories and their characters. There are also newer novel studies that include Eragon, How to Eat Fried Worms, and many titles from the Magic Tree House and Junie B. Jones series.

Beginning with vocabulary and comprehension questions, these print and use studies provide an in-depth look at these classic tales. Additionally, there are character analysis studies, illustrations, sequencing, and various other activities. They can be used in several ways; as an independent, self-paced study for the student or small group, or as a teacher guided study in either situation. Chapter by chapter, you really get to know and understand these stories and their characters in a whole new way. Several books are combined into sets, such as Three Great Dog Stories, which includes Shiloh, Sounder and Because of Winn Dixie as well as The Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy.

New Learning Publishing also offers a variety of Unit Studies on topics like reptiles, plants and fish. These all have full color illustrations and vivid pictures. They are thorough, enjoyable units that cover detailed information, various activities, classification, and web links. This company also publishes materials to improve reading skills. Their word games, such as Build it Write it, Reading Games Level A-D and Flip and Read Consonants and Digraphs are all wonderful tools for the early reader. As you can see, New Learning Publishing offers a variety of quality, affordable educational materials, and 170 of them are available for immediate download at www.homeschoolestore.com!
