Applications of Grammar
In the Applications of Grammar series the student will learn the basics of English grammar, including the definition and usage of the various parts of speech: verbs, nouns, adjectives, and adverbs. In addition, the student will examine how these terms are used in phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, and composition. While some today would discard the need for grammar, this text affirms that the learning of grammatical rules and their proper usage is foundational to good communication. The distinctions between words, their relation to each other in a sentence, and the rules that govern language are the basic building blocks of writing well. It is the prayer of the auther, editiors, and publishers that by this grammar workbook students will be more effective in their use of God's gift of language for His glory.

Easy Grammar
Easy Grammar Plus is based on success--student success. When students actually learn, they feel good about themselves. The sole purpose of Easy Grammar Plus is to provide students with grammar tools. With these tools, students will learn to speak and write properly. This course includes unit reviews, cumulative reviews, unit tests, and cumulative tests. Who cannot teach Easy Grammar Plus successfully? A. If you absolutely HATE English, stop. I didn't say dislike. Even if you dislike English, this approach will work for you. In fact, you will have success, too! B. Anyone can teach Easy Grammar Plus. Two things must happen to successfully use Easy Grammar Plus. A. Insist on MASTERY learning--the student must fully understand the concept and be able to use it when the need arises (kind of like tying your shoe). B. Students must memorize and learn 50 prepositions. This is the first step and is basic to Easy Grammar Plus. Includes chapters on Prepositions, Verbs, Nouns, Interjections, Conjunctions, Adjectives, Types of Sentences; Sentences, Fragments, and Run-ons; Phrases and Clauses, Adverbs, Pronouns, Punctuation, Capitalization, and Letters (Friendly & Business w/envelope). Pages are reproducible. For 6th grade through high school. This is the teacher's guide which also includes the student workbook pages. The answer key is on the left, and the blank workbook page on the right.

Writing Strands
This group of assignments is designed to give homeschooled fourth-level students a grounding in the very complicated process of giving others their thoughts in written form. This level is designed for students who, in public school, would be considered ready for eighth grade. The writing exercises in this level are in four categories: basic, creative, organization, and descriptive. The assignments in each of these areas will guide you in the development of the skills you will need to be able to feel good about your ability to write. Rather than increase the work for the instructor, this writing process should make it easier for both the instructor and the students to meet the increasing demands for more student writing. Scope & Sequence: This level covers organization (idea connections), organization (main points), creative (emotions), organization (actions), narrative voice (basic), changing tenses( basic), paragraph control (basic), description 1 (buildings), description 2 (buildings), description 3 (buildings), organization (thoughts), point of view (basic), tense control (basic), changes (description), narrative voice location (basic). Grade 8.
